How to read a COA
Understanding what each test means
Product Identification
The product name, batch number, manufacturing date, and lot code. This ties the report to your specific product.
Cannabinoid Panel
Lists the amount of each cannabinoid (CBD, THC, CBG, CBN, etc.) measured in mg/serving or percentage. Compare this to product label claims.
Potency Testing
Shows the concentration of active compounds. Higher numbers mean more potent products. Verify against label claims.
Residual Solvents
Checks for leftover extraction chemicals. Should be either undetectable or below legal limits.
Pesticide Screen
Tests for common pesticides. All results should be "Not Detected" or "ND" — any pesticides are a red flag.
Heavy Metals Analysis
Measures lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic. These should all be below regulatory limits or "ND".
